Grandparents, friends, & loved ones:
seeking volunteers to sign up for a post-baby support pilot class. Learn simple, meaningful ways to help families after birth.
Class not intended for birthworkers, professionals, or students.
Are you curious about how to give meaningful support to families in those first weeks after birth, support that actually helps instead of unintentionally adding stress?
This Grandparents, Friends, & Loved Ones Postpartum Support Class is designed to offer practical, compassionate guidance for those who want to show up well during the postpartum season. Together, we’ll talk honestly about what postpartum recovery really looks like, how needs shift after birth, and what kind of support truly makes a difference for new parents, baby, and the entire family.
Be Part of Shaping Something Special: this class is launching as a pilot, and we’re inviting a small group of volunteers to help bring it to life. Pilot participants will not only receive valuable postpartum information but help to shape the future of this class through their participation.
Participants will learn:
This class is educational, reflective, and designed to help loved ones feel prepared and confident in their role.

Journey from Prenatal to Parenthood
Will Resume the 3rd week of January 2026
Meeting Info:
Join us for a FREE peer-led group intended for people seeking pregnancy & parenting support. Group gatherings are on-going, easily accessible, and judgement free. No registration or commitment is required. Drop-ins are always welcome. Sometimes we may have lots of thoughts to share, in that case we stay a longer.
Be assured that you are not the only one feeling day-to-day pressures, stressors, or feelings of being anxious or depressed. On some days it is doubly challenging to know where to start or how to seek support, let alone ask for it. In this peer-to-peer group, know that you are not alone. During group you may share whatever is on your mind, or prefer to sit quietly, or let tears free flow down your cheeks, or listen intently, or make us laugh until our sides ache. This group is here for it all.
Come as you are, and as often as you can. As a group, we recognize that on some days it’s difficult to consider getting yourself ready to go anywhere, to get your children ready to go, work up any amount of energy to get out the door, or consider opening a conversation with people you may have not met before. We get it, come conversation can seem exhausting and overwhelming. With that in mind, please know that joining a conversation is never necessary. Nor is any special attire, we are a come as you are group. You are welcome to show up wearing your pajamas, wearing your favorite shirt covered with baby snot and vomit, or with hair that has not combed in days. Everyone understands because and we’ve all been there at some point. Just show up and see if this group meets your needs. Lap babies and older children are welcome. Feel free to bring an activity that will keep your baby or older children occupied so you can focus on yourself for a little while. On days when we meet at Atlas Collective Brews & Books location, make a mental note that there is a very well organize book and play corner for children
PLEASE be mindful of our indoor meeting spaces. When we plan to meet indoors do not bring activities such as paints, markers, glue, sand art, goop or slime. Messy items are best saved for days when we plan to meet up on park days.
