Meeting Info:

Join us for a FREE peer-led group intended for childbearing people seeking pregnancy & postpartum support. The primary purpose of this group is to provide support for perinatal mental health and wellness. Group gatherings are on-going, easily accessible, and judgement free. No registration or commitment is required. Drop-ins are always welcome. Meet up with us anytime between 8:30 – 10:30 AM. Sometimes we may have lots of thoughts to share, in that case stay a longer.

Be assured that you are not the only one feeling day-to-day pressures, stressors, or feelings of being anxious or depressed. On some days it is doubly-challenging to know where to start or how to seek support, let alone ask for it. In this peer-to-peer group, know that you are not alone. During group you may share whatever is on your mind, or prefer to sit quietly, or let tears free flow down your cheeks, or listen intently, or make us laugh until our sides ache. This group is here for it all.

Come as you are, and as often as you can. As a group, we recognize that on some days it’s difficult to consider getting yourself ready to go anywhere, a struggle to get your children ready to go, or work up any amount of energy to get out the door. With that in mind, know that no special attire is necessary. You are welcome to show up wearing your pajamas, wearing your favorite shirt covered with baby snot and vomit, or with hair that has not combed in days. Everyone understands because we’ve all been there at some point. Just show up and see if this group meets your needs. Lap babies and older children are welcome. We encourage you to bring an activity for your children. Am activity that will keep your baby and older children occupied so you can focus on yourself for a little while. The Atlas Collective Brews & Books meeting location provides a very well organize book and play corner for children. NOTE – THIS GROUP DOES NOT PROVIDE A CHILDCARE OPTION. PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF OUR LOACTION. DO NOT BRING ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PAINTS, PERMANENT MARKERS, GLUE, SAND ART, GOOP OR SLIME.

What: Sunrise on the Reading

Organized by: Stephan Brennan & Quad City Morning Readers

When: 5:30 AM - Saturday 05/10/25

Location: Quinlan Court

                       101 W River Drive, Davenport, Iowa 52801

Event Link:  (20+) Sunrise on the Reading | Facebook

It’s finally warmer and I think it’s a great time to have our debut group read!

We’ll meet at Quinlan Court in Davenport Iowa. Right across the street from Stompbox Brewing and a few blocks away from Redband Coffee. It’s off River Dr, between Brady and Perry Streets.

There are raised flower beds that can be used as seating or you can bring your own. Just show up, bring a book, and read as the sun rises over the Mississippi!

Feel free to chat and make some friends or enjoy the quiet and immerse yourself in your book.

Redband opens at 6:30 AM and is a short walk through beautiful downtown Davenport, so feel free to grab a coffee and an egg sandwich afterwards. I’m sure a group will walk over. (But don’t feel like you have to, all this is very laid back and you’re free to do what you want!)
